About
This slow-roasted pork sandwich is one of my favorite ways to turn leftover pork roast into an easy, fuss-free lunch. It takes just a few minutes to assemble and is perfect for a quick lunch at home or to pack for work. It’s also a simple way to stretch one roast into another meal, save money and make the most of what you already have in the fridge. Enjoy!

Ingredients
½ French baguette
2 TBSP fat from the pork roast
6 slices leftover pork roast
6 slices cooked ham
6 slices gouda cheese
Onion chutney
Dijon mustard
Butter
Pickles

Instructions
Prepare the ingredients
Cut the French baguette in half lengthwise and thinly slice the leftover pork roast. Gently reheat about 2 tablespoons of the fat from the pork roast. Dip the cut sides of both baguette halves into the warm drippings to lightly coat the bread.
Assemble the sandwich
Butter one half of the baguette and spread generously with onion chutney. Layer with the leftover pork roast, cooked ham and Gouda cheese, then add a few pickles to taste. Spread Dijon mustard on the other half of the baguette and place it on top to close the sandwich. Cut in half and serve.
Recipe Q&A
What kind of pork roast can I use?
This sandwich is a great way to use leftover slow-roasted pork neck, but any tender leftover pork roast will work. Pulled or shredded pork can also be used.
Can I make this sandwich without the ham?
Absolutely. The pork is the main filling, so you can simply leave out the cooked ham if you prefer or don’t have any on hand.
Can I prepare this sandwich ahead of time?
Absolutely. This is a great make-ahead sandwich for lunch at work. Pack it in a lunchbox or wrap it well, and keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to eat.
